Ship to shore
If you have the shore pass you can call us and ask for a lift to the Seamen’s Club. From here you can go shopping or have a walk in Venice.

Seamens’ Club
Stella Maris Friends manages two Seamens’ club, one in Venezia Marittima: the Venice port where cruises lands from April to November, and the other in Marghera, where merchant ships arrive all year long.
At our Venice Seamens’ Clubs you can find a lot of services and facilities:
• Internet Point, Phone Centre e fax services.
• Book exchange. You can leave the book you have already read and choose a new one that someone else has left.
• Satellite Tv room.
• Iternational news: every day you can find last news from your country we collect from international newspapers.
Because of the large number of Philippines maritime, we have created the Filippino Balita, a Philippine newspaper we send by email to more than 179 ships and 150 Seamens’ Club worldwide.
• Sports: if you like and have enought time, you can ask us to organize sports competitions, like soccer, volleyball or basketball matches.

Money transfer
We are Western Union agents, so you can send your money at home without going to the bank.

Emergency fund for abandoned seafarers
Thanks to money donations of charitable people we was able to create a special fund for abandoned seafarers.
